Year-Round Safety

DOGS

• Only trained service dogs or leashed dogs on designated hiking trails in the summer are allowed.
• Hiking with your pets can be fun and rewarding; be sure to keep your pet on a leash.
• Practice “Leave No Trace” ethics and clean up your dog’s waste.
• Plan for your dog’s and your own needs on the trail. Be prepared with plenty of water, and don’t hike beyond your or your pets’ limits.
• Guests with dogs perceived as bad-mannered can be asked to leave the resort property.
• Dogs are not allowed on chairlifts.
• Dogs are not allowed on the mountain during the winter.

Flying Devices & Equipment Policy

For the purpose of protecting and enhancing the safety of our guests, employees, and property, The Highlands prohibits the unauthorized use, operation, or transportation of flying devices on Resort property and lift systems.

These devices include, but are not limited to:

• Drones
• Hang Gliders
• Paragliders and Speed-Flying Canopies
• Kites
• Hot Air Balloons
• Quadcopters
• Any other flying devices, either directly or remotely controlled.
